Read and discuss – Delphine de Vigan

Reading group about Delphine de Vigan

Delphine de Vigan

In 2011 Delphine de Vigan won a number of literary prizes for the novel Nothing holds back the night in which she depicts her experiences from growing up with a bipolar mother who eventually took her own life in 2008. Vigan has just released the sequel Based on a true story that presents her considerations and reservations about publishing her family story in shape of a novel. In this book she also poses the question whether it is really possible to discover the truth about another human being.
