Icelandic author Hallgrímur Helgason was first an artist before confirming his talents as a writer in the 90s. Author of eleven novels and a children's book, he has also written poetry, press articles, plays for the radio and the theater, and essays on culture and society. He gained international success with his novel 101 Reykjavik, published in 1996 and translated into 16 languages, which was adapted into a highly popular film of international scope of the same name. In 2001, he won the Nordic Council Literature Prize for his novel Höfundur Íslands ('The Author of Iceland'). His most recent success is Kvinden ved 1000°. Hallgrimur Helgasson will talk about his authorship - especially his latest book Sjóveikur í München, which will appear in Danish in late Autumn 2016.
Helgason will be interviewed by Dan Ringgaard from Aarhus University.
